San Jose Football Club · Est. 2026

Built around players. Not teams.

San Jose Football Club is a player-first soccer community for the South Bay — built around development, joy, belonging, and a lifelong love of the game.

The SJFC Manifesto

Youth soccer should serve the player.

Too often, clubs ask where a player fits: which team, which roster, which coach, which league. We ask a better question: how do we help this player grow and keep falling in love with the game?

San Jose FC exists to build better soccer players, better teammates, better leaders, and a stronger soccer community. Teams matter. Competition matters. Winning can matter. But none of it comes before the player.

01
Players before teams.

Teams are temporary. Player development is permanent. We organize the club around each player’s growth, confidence, and connection to the game.

02
Belonging before politics.

A club should feel like a community, not a maze of fixed rosters, status labels, and closed doors. Players need friendships, movement, and a place to belong.

03
Joy is development.

Players improve when they love coming back. The best environments create excitement, freedom, courage, and the desire to play more.

04
Trust must be earned.

Families should stay because the experience is valuable — not because they are locked into a system that stops listening once the season begins.

A different model for youth soccer.

SJFC is not a team factory. It is a membership-based player community designed to reduce pressure, increase belonging, and keep development moving.

One club training environment

Players in an age group develop together instead of being permanently isolated by roster labels. The result: more friendships, healthier competition, and easier player movement.

Monthly membership mindset

The club has to keep earning trust. Families should feel ongoing value in coaching, culture, communication, and player experience.

Thursday Night Football

A weekly ritual for free play, creativity, leadership, problem-solving, and love of the game — with coaches facilitating, not controlling every moment.

Better measures of success

We care about retention, development, joy, culture, community engagement, and lifelong participation — not only standings and trophies.

Identity built directly from the logo suite.

The crest, SJ monogram, SJFC wordmark, and full San Jose Football Club lockup each have a clear job in the system.
